I was so excited when Erika and Joe asked me to do their engagement photos. I was even more excited when they told me they wanted to do a combination of intimate photos in their home as well as some “Mad Men” themed photos at one of their favorite bars. I am so excited at how they turned out. We had a blast!
Joe and Erika compliment each other perfectly. Our session was full of laughter, jokes, and funny faces. And somewhere, in between the laughter, a few quiet and meaning full moments shown through.
The whole session had a retro feel to it. Erika and Joe’s home is a beautiful home with so much of their personality wrapped up in it. I loved everything from the gorgeous hard woood floors to the vinyl records Joe had playing. It definitely set the mood for our next scene change.
After getting a bunch of photos in at the house we headed over to The Public House for a drink and a few more glamorous shots.
The lighting at The Public House is so much fun! I love how different each corner of the bar was.
It was the perfect space for these two and included the table that they sat at after Joe proposed. It was so wonderful to be at two spaces that meant so much to this couple.
Special thanks to The Public House for letting us come in and shoot as well as Mrs. Adrienne for being my lovely assistant for the afternoon. And of course, thank you to Erika and Joe for letting me into your home and your space to capture your relationship. I am so lucky to know both of you and can’t wait to see where life takes you.
